Coleman Moore

The Show

It is doesn't feel right to place the Coleshow in the category of "songwriter showing you his songs on stage." Coleman Moore is a solo performer in the tradition of hard-workers like James Brown and Prince, but he brings a unique absurdity and nakedness that suggests performance art. He may be backed by fresh self-produced instrumentals, but you won't pay much attention to the tracks due to the hypnotic, vulnerable energy emanating from the man singing his heart out in his signature silk blouse.

Responses to the act have included: "mesmerizing," "high-energy," "thank you," and "it left me feeling a little dirty"... the constant gyrations and body spins get compared to Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger alike. Coleman's songs are addictively catchy and you might get a Top 40 cover thrown in for fun.

Los Angeles based, Coleman has performed at venues and art spaces around southern California and just finished a five-week residency at East Hollywood fun house Harvard & Stone.
